How is this product different from other photograph jewelry?
Other photo jewelry companies make their products from low fire clay that bakes in a kitchen oven. The picture is then glued onto the top of pendant. Another company's style of photo jewelry will put a small copy of your picture into a pendant frame and then cover it with liquid substance that hardens.
All of our pieces are handcrafted from clay, carefully sanded, fired to over 2000 degrees, and finished with the highest quality sterling silver clasps. The picture actually burns into the clay making it scratch proof and water proof. Each pendant has a smooth texture and durable finish. Your piece should be treated with care as with any other piece of fine jewelry.

Why don’t you offer color pictures?
Because the clay fires at a temperature of over 2000 degrees, all color is burned out of the picture. This creates our signature brown and crème (sepia tone) picture pendants.
I have a snap shot but no way to e-mail it. What should I do?

We will scan your picture into our computer and put it on your pendant. Your photograph will be returned with your order. Make sure to label the back of your picture with your name and order number. If you are sending a picture taken by a photographer you must include a signed release form. Professional photographs have a copyright on all of their photos; I am legally unable to reproduce them without permission. J Woods Jewelry is not responsible for lost or damaged photographs.
How do I e-mail a picture?
After you choose your necklace and check out, you will be asked to upload your picture to our server. If for some reason you are unable to upload your picture at that time you can e-mail it to
julie@jwoodsjewelry.com. Please include your name and order # in the e-mail.
I have 3 children. Can I send in 3 different pictures to be put on one necklace?
Only one picture can be put onto a pendant. Combining photographs results in poor picture quality. It is best to take one picture of all 3 children with their faces close together.
A Picture Bracelet would be another good option. You can order up to 3 tiles with different pictures on each tile.
How long will it take for my order to be completed?
Please allow 2 -3 weeks for your order to be completed. Rush orders will be completed and shipped within 5 business days and are available for an additional $25.
What format should I e-mail my picture in?
All files should be JPEG or TIFF format and 300 dpi for the best results in picture clarity.
What pictures work best?
The most important thing is that it is a picture you love and that has special meaning to you. Snap shots from home can make just as good of a photo pendant as a picture from a professional photographer. Pictures that clearly show faces are great. If using a picture with more than one person, faces should be close together. The picture will be cropped closely around the person, object, or pet. If you have any special requests for the cropping of your photo, you can send us an e-mail at julie@jwoodsjewelry.com within 24 hours of ordering. Please include your name and order number in the e-mail.

Necklace Care
Your picture pendant will never fade or tarnish, and does not require any special care to look as good as the day you get it. However, please take special care not to drop your pendant on tile or concrete. Our tiles are duralbe, but they can chip if dropped.
Return Policy
Due to the custom nature of J Woods Jewelry orders, returns are not accepted.
J Woods Jewelry has a unique production process. This will give your picture a vintage look. Your photo pendant is made from ceramic clay. PLEASE take care not to drop it on a concrete or tile floor as it can chip. However, the jewelry is very durable for everyday wear.
Warranty / Replacement
All J Woods Jewelry clasps are covered under a limited 1 year warranty. If a clasp should fail in the year following your purchase date, your jewelry will be replaced free of charge after it is sent back to us. Please contact us at julie@jwoodsjewelry.com for more information and instructions.
If your tile or pendant should chip or break due to being dropped or mistreated it can be replaced for a charge of $35 per tile/pendant plus shipping. Addtional charges may apply. Please contact us at julie@jwoodsjewelry.com for further information.
